Q.Fig Tree Infection

rooney added on February 13, 2017 | Answered

I had a look at your sheet on common fig tree fungal infections and none of the descriptions seemed to match my issue. My figs, leaves and branches have suddenly been covered in what looks like little barnacles. I have had my fig tree for quite some years now and have never seen anything like this before. Sorry, just noticed that I could have sent in a photo, which I didn’t have ready but if this is a common issue, I’m sure my mini barnacle description will suffice. The barnacles are quite small and have a definite conical structure, mostly white in appearance.

Thanks, Mike Rooney Banjup WA
