fig tree has lost many/most leaves

Fig tree has some fruit but leaves turning brown edges and falling leaves. My fig tree has lost many/most leaves. Leaves get brown edges and drop. This started last year and I thought it was because of the drought, but this year it is worse. It has very few fruits. Bark looks pale. It’s a very sick tree. My tree is about 8 years old, and planted in the yard.

You could also check for signs of insect pests, and just to be on the safe side, treat the tree with neem oil. This is an effective (and safe) insecticide that also doubles as a fungicide, should this be an issue too.
