Q.Fig Tree Fungus/Neutral Copper

Anonymous added on March 11, 2014 | Answered

Last year my fig trees (in containers) had a rust fungus. My research indicates I should spray with a “Neutral Copper Spray” to prevent this fungus. I have not been able to find this spray. What is the brand name? Is it available and where? I have a “Liquid Copper” fungicide. Is this the same? Will this work?

Rust is not normally fatal, but can make the tree look unsightly. I personally like to use neem oil as it is both a fungicide and a pesticide, plus it is safe for people and pets. Here is more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/problems/pests/neem-oil-uses.htm The liquid copper will work as well.
