Fig Tree Fruit Has Black Spots

My container grown fig tree has produced figs for three years. This year, the small green emerging fruit has small black dots appearing and within a few weeks, the fruit drops off. The tree looks very heathy otherwise. I did prune the tree last fall.

It is likely a fungus. Treat the tree with a fungicide.
