Q.fig tree bark rot

Anonymous added on September 5, 2015 | Answered

My question is that my fig tree, which is in the field, is rotting at the bark level with the soil. One day the branch will be healthy, the next day it falls on the ground with the bark fully rotten. I would like to know how to address this situation. Thank you for your assistance.

It sounds like crown rot. Here is more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/disease/crown-rot-disease.htm
