Q.Fig Tree

Anonymous added on April 27, 2014 | Answered

I have a potted fig tree (about 2 yrs old). It is full of baby figs and our winter has just started! Do I ignore these and prune anyway at the beginning of spring? Or what do you suggest? (Seems like it has a seasonal identification crisis).

If it is full of figs, I wouldn't prune it just yet. You can keep the plant in a sheltered location or inside and possibly harvest these at some point. Once the fruiting has ceased, you can go ahead and prune if necessary. This article will help at that point: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/figs/potted-fig-tree-pruning.htm
