fig tree

I have a fig tree that is in the ground. It has been there for 5 years. Can I take it up and place it in a container to make it easier to winter protect?

Yes, you can dig it up if it’s not too large. However, you’ll have to ensure that you get as much of the root system as possible and transfer the tree to a sturdy, well-draining container large enough to accommodate its overall size.
