Fig Tree

Planted a fig tree last June and tree did well, even gave me a couple of figs. I covered very well in winter months with newspaper and burlap. Most of my other trees and plants have sprouted but my baby fig tree has almost nothing. There’s some growth, very little at bottom of tree, and the branches are pliable, not dry. Is the tree ok? And, if not, what can I do? It’s a very special tree, as I planted in my husband’s honor who passed away last May. Thank you for any help.

Give the Fig Tree some more time to leaf out.

If the branches are pliable and you are seeing new growth, these are good signs.
