Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a fig tree in my backyard. I see orange dots (little balls) on the actual fig fruit, and slight orange coloration of the leaf veins. There are also dried leaf edges, but it may be because I live in Arizona, even though I faithfully water it every other day. I see small white gooey dots (small balls) on the leaves, too. I’m not sure what they are.

It sounds like it is likely fig rust. Treat the plant with a fungicide. Rust is not normally fatal, but can make the tree look unsightly. I personally like to use neem oil as it is both a fungicide and a pesticide, plus it is safe for people and pets.
