Fig ripening

I have a young fig tree that has lots of healthy looking figs on it. As we are going into winter, I wondered if it will be warm enough to ripen them – I do not know if warm temperature is necessary and we get frosts here – or should I take them all off and give the tree a chance to grow more and be healthy? I have never grown figs before so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Do you know the variety of Fig that you have planted?
Is your Fig in a pot or planted in the ground?
Cold temperatures will began to tell your Fig to go dormant.
The leaves and fruit will generally drop. If any leaves or fruit remain, they can be removed before you wrap or place the tree in a storage location.
