Q.Fig Fruit Unedible

Zone Sac. Valley, CA | Reyem added on June 13, 2013 | Answered

I have a small orchard on my ranch. My fig trees have two problems. On the Kodota Fig, the trees are nicely leafed and fruit is nice size and getting ready to pick, but the fruit is pithy inside and has a purple/gray ring around the underside of the skin and the seeds are all dried up as well.

The other is the fruit is growing and seems to get to the point the fruit should start to ripen and the fruit all dries up and drops off or just stays on the tree.

Looking for a solution to both.

Thank you.
