Fiddle leaf fig has little brown speckles on new leaves

I have two fiddle leaf figs that have been doing great since I got them almost a year ago. But now the very newest leaves are covered in small speckled brown spots. I’ve thoroughly inspected both plants for mites and I see absolutely no evidence of an infestation. No little webs or critters anywhere. Could this be a nutrient deficiency? I have not fertilized them since I’ve had them.
