Fiddleleaf Fig

Q.Fiddle leaf fig has little brown speckles on new leaves

Zone 60012 | Laruela added on July 6, 2018 | Answered

I have two fiddle leaf figs that have been doing great since I got them almost a year ago. But now the very newest leaves are covered in small speckled brown spots. I’ve thoroughly inspected both plants for mites and I see absolutely no evidence of an infestation. No little webs or critters anywhere. Could this be a nutrient deficiency? I have not fertilized them since I’ve had them.

This is, most likely, Fig Rust. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/figs/common-fig-tree-diseases.htm
