Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI bought a Fiddle Fig plant about 2-3 months ago. I have put it in bright light and water only when dry. Seems it is getting brown patches on the leaves. Could you tell me what is happening and how I can correct this? I have yet to feed it, wanting it to acclimate to its home. Many thanks for any info you can provide.

Inspect your plant carefully for any signs of infestation.
If you do find something, Neem oil would be a good treatment.
Humidity and light are always difficult during the long winter. These may be issues with your plant, though with this picture, I don’t see anything to alarming. Fiddle leaf fig leaves can be damaged easily. A tear in a leaf can compromise the leaf. They don’t like to be moved, so you are correct in wanting to acclimate it to it’s new home.
