Q.Ficus tree may have scale
My indoor Benjamin ficus tree has lost many yellowed leaves as of late. I have noted milky white, waxy deposits or white cottony deposits on the junction of the leaves to the stems. I recently sprayed the leaves thoroughly, concentrating on the undersides, with a solution of Neem oil, insecticidal soap & H20. This seemed to eliminate all the white cottony deposits but, not the milky white, waxy deposits. I am still losing yellowed leaves and so I plan to take the plant outside early tomorrow, spray it again with the same solution and take it in before it is exposed to any direct sunlight. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? Thank you in advance…
Abe
ps. have not been able to upload pictures of the underside of the leaves so far!
You may need to reapply to make sure you have removed all the Mealybug.
Neem Oil is a good treatment.
