ficus tree

I just bought a ficus tree at a nursery. I told them it was for my screened in porch. They told me I would have
to bring it inside when the temperature at night is below
50 degrees. I now am learning through looking up information about the tree that it is a house plant. Will I have
trouble keeping it out on the covered porch? It will receive some indirect sunlight.

Will I have trouble now? My plan was to give me a little privacy.

If you are in a colder climate, you will need to bring the Ficus indoors during the colder months and winter.
The information the nursery gave you is correct, your Ficus should be brought in when temperatures drop to 50 degrees F or lower.

In warmer climate zones, Ficus can live outdoors year round.
