Ficus benjamina water and propagation

See photo, how long should I let the roots grow before putting this cutting in soil? It’s been in water for about a month and a half so far. Small white specks were all that happened for a while. However, in the last week this one root has grown. It’s about 1/4″ long now. Thank you! This site is very helpful.

Usually 2 to 3 weeks of root growth should be more sufficient to sustain a new cutting,

Looks like from your picture your off to a good start. When doing cuttings in the future I would try for 2 leaves.
