Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI cant get rid of collembola (I know. What?) in the soil. Have read FDA treatise on treating imported roots of plants with hot water (120) for 10 minutes. THATS TOO HOT. Can you suggest another temp to kill these guys. Yes. They are harmless (and probably help tree/6 ft, 35 yrs old), but I am treating for mealy bugs at top and while in tub will do roots. BTW, I do rinse the soil away before placing in treatment pot, correct? HELP. Thank you.

I would simply repot the plant and replace the soil and repot your plant.
