Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy husband fertilizes the azaleas, camellias, and other plants with flowers while they are blooming. I always thought that would knock the blooms off. The camellia’s flowers only last a day or so. Right now he is fertilizing the azaleas and they are blooming like crazy. Is this the wrong time to fertilize?
Thank you so much….

I would typically recommend fertilizing in early spring right before everything comes out. I don’t think it would hurt them, unless they are given too much. But it is better to fertilize before they bloom to make the most of the fertilizer.
