Q.Fertilizing a White Lilac

I have several flowering bushes/trees. One a mock orange, and my white lilac. I get some flowers on these tree/bushes but not many. What fertilizer should I use for next hear to make them flower?

Frequent fertilizing isn't necessary; however, you can use a general-purpose fertilizer (low in nitrogen) in the spring to help give lilac a little boost. Also, add some compost and bone meal in and around the soil.
