fertilizing figs

I have a 2 year old fig tree in a pot. It is doing very well and has 20 figs on it now. However, the largest is about one inch in diameter and still green. what kind of fertilizer do I use, how much and how often?

Give it a fertilizer with a slightly higher phosphorus amount to help with fruiting. I prefer a slow release fertilizer to help provide continued nutrients. For a young tree, fertilize in late winter or early spring. Once mature, they can be fertilized monthly with balanced fertilizer.
