Fertilizers for Arborvitae and Holly trees

Question

My Holly tree has some yellowing sections on the west side. I read in a magazine evergreen plants should be fertilized twice a year in spring and fall. Please suggest good fertilizers for these two plantings in my garden.
I Live in central Illinois on the boarder between Zone 4 and 5.
