Female cottonwood tree

Question

I’ve been told that there is a product I can purchase so that my female cottonwood will stop producing cotton. As the tree has grown very tall and large, I have cotton flying all over my home plus the whole neighborhood. What do I do to contain its cotton from producing?? Other than cutting down the tree.
