Q.Fall Planting Of Corn Salad Greens

Zone T1V 1P6 | Anonymous added on July 3, 2023 | Answered

We are zone 2. I read your article on growing corn salad greens. You speak of fall planting …would this work in our area? I did a spring planting in April in my greenhouse but with slow germination it was the last of my early greens to germinate. Could I have started them earlier when T’s are still falling to -10C

I think you could have started it earlier in the spring. It can tolerate temperatures as low as -15 C. I don't think it would tolerate your winters though and fall planting would go through winter.
