Q.fall or spring planting for snowberry plants?

Zone 53005-5504 | lessitep added on September 21, 2018 | Answered

I recently saw some snowberry plants in Nova Scotia. I live in Wisconsin (near Milwaukee) and am wondering if they will grow here and also whether they should be planted in spring or fall.

These will grow just fine in your area, perhaps even becoming invasive with neglect. These can be planted in either spring or fall, but fall would be the better option. They are more cold tolerant than heat tolerant, and will have more time to establish into the winter, rather than into the summer.
