Q.excessive oak tree sap

Anonymous added on June 11, 2015 | Answered

An oak tree near our deck is dropping huge blobs of light brown looking sap. It has never done this in the 20 yrs. we have lived here. It is making a mess of the deck, etc. Also, tiny limbs with leaves on them are falling from the tree and the sap is all over the point where they broke off. What is it, what do I do about it? Thanks.

There could be a few different reasons for the tree sap running from the tree.
It could be as simple as temperature changes or something more serious.
Here are some great links that will help you identify the issue.
