Q.Euphorbia Canariensis. Could It Be The Milk?

Zone 91506 Burbank Los Angeles | Avidmigda added on June 26, 2023 | Answered

When I lop off the rot & milk oozes out and down all over the plant… could that be causing this and if yes, does that imply it’s not rot and just a toxic skin response issue and maybe I can save it??

I think the milk is spreading it, but it is definitely rot. Unfortunately, fungicides aren't, usually, enough to cure this. They do help for some time.

This article is for a different type of Euphorbia, but will have the same treatments.

Unfortunately, it is important to keep from watering overhead. This is the predominant way that it spreads.
