Eucalyptus Tree Leaves Are Falling Off

Eucalyptus tree leaves are falling off and bark is turning dark brown. I live in Peoria, Az. and the tree is 2 years old and 7 ft tall. Is it getting watered too much?

This sounds like canker a fungus that attacks eucalyptus. Please see this article for more information.
