Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comEucalyptus tree roots – will they still keep growing after the tree has been cut down. Our neighbour had a eucalyptus tree in his garden less than 50 feet from our house, but has recently cut it down. Will the roots continue to grow & if so should we have root barrier put in along our garden boundary? The tree was about 25-30 feet tall when cut down.
We live in England, UK. Please advise. Thank you.

It will not be common for these to come back after cutting down completely, but there is still always a chance. Most professional tree services will ensure that there will be nothing growing back, but depending on their skill level, the tree could still come back.
If you are ever in doubt, a barrier will always be a good idea.
