Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy eucalyptus tree is mature, approx 70 feet tall. The leaves are mostly brown and a leafy growth has appeared from the bottom up. Now nearly covering the first 20 feet. Never saw this before. What is happening and has the severe weather caused this?

What exactly does this leafy growth look like? Is it greenish looking? It’s possible that what you are describing is lichen, which affects trees that are stressed. If the tree currently has browning of the leaves, then it is obviously under stress, most likely from the weather. Here is more information on lichen and what you can do about it should this be the issue: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/epiphytes/treatment-tree-lichen.htm [1]
