Eucalyptus Tree

My Eucalyptus tree looks like it is dying. The leaves have gone dry and brittle but are not falling off (yet). I only give it a good prune every two years, due this year – keeping the height down to 8 foot. It’s been in the garden about 6 years without any problems, and it is planted in the garden not in a planter. Could the extreme weather conditions this year have anything to do with it?
