Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI planted a young eucalyptus plant outside last fall. I thought it was dead in the spring so I cut it back to 2 inches. It grew with several branches all around. The branches are about 2-3 ft. long, with minimal trunk. I cut a few branches to bring inside to dry during the summer, which now have grown new offshoots. Should I cut it back again before winter? Should I cover it during winter?

I would not cut it back again right now as this could encourage it into a new growth spurt, which would make it more vulnerable during the winter.
I would go ahead and cover it this winter. It sounds like it is a bit stressed at the moment and covering it will give it a better chance of making it through the winter.
