Q.Eucalyptus

Anonymous added on April 9, 2014 | Answered

Someone gave us three eucalyptus trees (about 2ft high) three years ago. One of them died, the second has continued to grow very slowly. The third is now over 12ft high, but the leaves are turning brown. They are not dropping off, and the rest of the tree seems to be sound. Is this terminal, or can we do something about it?

Did you have a hard winter where you live? This can cause this to happen to eucalyptus and they normally can recover. If it was an average winter, it is likely a fungus affecting the tree. Treat it with a fungicide.
