Q.Eucalyptus
Hello,
I have 3 eucalyptus trees that I had out all summer. I have them in the basement with a grow light and the leaves are all dry. The bark still seems alive and green. I was wondering if it is dormant? Died? How can I ensure that they have not died and can still be saved?
Thanks,
Arturo
When you bring these inside, they will need much less watering. It is necessary to let them dry out a little between waterings. It is a common symptom of infection with necrosis that fast. I would add a little wettable sulfur and dolomitic lime to the next watering. You may even want a fan on them to get air circulated. The wattage of your lamps may be too high, or even could be that the lamps are too close to the trees. I would monitor the temperature to make sure it doesn't get too hot, or too cold.
