Q.Etlingera Elatior Cultivation
I planted some seeds some weeks ago and I have about 8 seedlings, now about 3 inches high.I keep the compost damp. They are in small pots with sun from early morning until around 1.30pm. The temperature here at the moment is between 30 and 37C. Even in Jan/Feb it rarely falls below 12 -16 (daytime) 8-10 (at night). My questions are when do I move them to bigger pots and what should I do with them during the coldest months or will they be OK outside?

These are tropical plants and shouldn't be exposed to anything below 10 degrees C. And since they are in containers, they won't have the protection of the ground, so you should probably keep them indoors near a sunny window during the winter. They only need part shade. You could keep them in the containers till they are well established and the roots fill the pot before moving them up. This article gives tips on growing them:
