As we want to put in a new deck, this tree will either have to be removed or, if feasible, transplanted. We pruned this tree in the fall. The base of the tree is about a 5″ diameter and about 12 feet tall.

For a tree that size, you would need to have it professionally transplanted. There are companies that do this, but they tend to be expensive.
