Q.Esperanza

Anonymous added on July 28, 2011 | Answered

At the start of this summer I planted 3 esperanza plants of the same size in a cluster. Since then (approx. 2 months), one plant has grown to about 30 inches with plenty of flowers, the other 2 plants have grown to about 6 feet tall and have never had one flower. Why did this happen and what can be done?

It is likely lacking in phosphorus, which it needs to bloom. Give it some bone meal to add some phosphorus to the soil where it is located.
