Will Elderberry bushes grow at 10,000 feet in So. Park, Co. Near Como, Co.?

Sambucus canadensis survives up to 8,000 feet. One resource I checked said 10,000. It does need moisture to do well. Red elderberry, Sambucus racemosa, might grow at higher elevations but all parts of the plant are toxic.
