Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI am growing heirloom Black Beauty eggplants. The plants look very healthy and are thriving in this heat. There are a large number of fruits on the plants, but the bottom of the fruits are scalloped and irregularly shaped. I have never encountered this problem before. I’m interested to know what this could be from.

This is caused by poor pollination. It has been a common problem for tomatoes, peppers and eggplant this year due to the high heat and humidity, which interferes with the pollination.
