Q.Easiest hillside ground cover

What would likely be a simple to maintain ground cover to plant along the sloping hills of a creek bed. Something to both control the weeds and protect from soil erosion.

Vinca minor, ivy and pachysandra are all popular choices for hillside plantings. They all stay green year round, spread quickly, grow low and need almost no care once established.
