Q.dwarf or small trees

Need recommendation for a small or dwarf tree – preferably flowering, with non-invasive root system, full sun – to be grown in NE Ohio, zone 5a.

Here are a few suggestions.

Dwarf Red Buckeye, Shadbush Tree, Apple Serviceberry Tree, River Birch, Blue Beech, Amur Chokecherry, Crab Apple, Pagoda Dogwood, Winged Eunymus, Gringe Tree and Japanese Maple.

I encourage you to visit local garden centers or nurseries. Also driving around your neighborhoods you can see examples of trees that fit into your local landscape.
Another valuable source of information is your local County Extension Office.
They will likely have a list of recommend trees and shrubs for your exact region.
