Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comThe seedlings have a very fragile stem and can’t stay upright. Is it ok to let them lay flat on the soil? The plants are about 4 inches long and have 6 to 8 leaves. Not sure what is best for the plantlets.

No, the seedlings should be upright, lying on the soil will likely lead to the loss of your seedlings.
This is likely do to lack of light.
