Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWe saw a vine growing in River Falls, Wisconsin. It had very large leaves and was as high as the front porch. We were told it was planted in the 1930’s and was called dutchman’s breeches. It gets little white flowers. It definitely is not the 6-12″ variety and is apparently hardy in zone 4. Can you help to identify this vine from this description? I will try to get more info and photos……hopefully a cutting!
Thank you,
Sandra Dickerman

After some research, I have not been able to find a match.
Sometimes the wrong name becomes attached to an heirloom plant, so The Dutchman’s Breeches name given to you may be incorrect.
I have not been able to fine any vining variety of that plant.
A picture would be great, and by all means collect a slip of that plant if your allowed too!
