Duration of Light

I’m starting seedlings with florescent lighting in the garage. How much should light and dark durations be?

Seedlings need a high intensity of light~
Your fluorescent lights should be left on 12 to 14 hours per day. Be sure to hang the lights very close to the plants, no more than three inches away from the foliage or your seedlings will be ‘leggy’.
I start all my veggies from seeds. It’s so much fun to watch them grow from a tiny seed into something wonderfully delicious!
Happy gardening!
