Duranta Not Thickening Out

I have Duranta - Sheenas Gold planted. Its about 12 months old but it's not thickening out properly. I don't know why.

Usually, this will be due to low organic matter in soil. Clay soils, or otherwise hard or compacted, slow draining soils will be to blame for slow growth.

These plants require very rich soil amended with organic matter to flourish.
