Q.Drying bamboo??

Zone Istanbul | Ladylupina added on November 7, 2018 | Answered

I got these 3 stalks of bamboo about 6 months ago from IKEA. This is my first attempt of growing bamboos. So I took off the wax kind of thingy (green) on the tip of one of the bamboo stalks. That stalk has been drying! Also the drying bamboo hast 2 good looking green sprouts (one on top and one at the bottom). Is there any way I can save the bamboo or the sprouts?

If mine, I would prune off the fading tip and leave the green tip and the lower one. If the stem continues to brown and dry, I would cut it back to just above the lower green lateral sprout.

Or the more radical option is, you can prune it down to the lower sprout now.
