Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comHi
I have got my schefflera almost 45 days back. It was around 3 feet tall and in a small pot. I had it reported in a larger clay pot and have placed it near my east facing French window.
Have also added fresh potting soil with a mix of 1/4th sand.
Plant is doing well. Watering 500ml every week.
I saw a sudden spurt of growth with new leaves and a few small branches.
The problem is that the older leaves are upright and green and yellow but the new ones, even after 3 weeks, are still green and drooping. Do not seem to have strength.
Have also used a water soluble fertiliser 2 weeks back. But no change.
New growth not happening but am fine with that.
Am in Dubai UAE. Current outdoor temperatures are between 20 and 28 deg C. Indoor temp is around 22 all the time.
Lots of adequate indirect light is available throughout the day time.
Please share feedback and what needs to be done to strengthen the drooping leaves and may be add more growth.
Thanks
Rajesh Mathrani

You may be overwatering. Wait until the soil is dry to the touch before watering. I'm a little concerned about the new pot. If it is much bigger than the previous one, that too can cause overwatering by holding more moisture. Try cutting back on the water and see if that helps. When you do water, water till it runs out the bottom and discard any water that collects in the saucer. Here is more care:
