Drooping Lavender Plant

So my boyfriend gifted me with a beautiful Spanish Lavender ( I believe that is what I received)for Mother’s Day. anyway my plant started out looking amazing but the last 2 days the flower buds have began to droop. I researched this plant when I received it and I’m almost positive that I have not over-watered it. I’m curious as to if maybe it actually needs more water. I have it sitting in my office at work in front of a large window so it can receive sun. I am hoping that the pics I have taken of it the day I received it and then of today can lead me in the right direction of what may possibly be the issue. Any help will greatly be appreciated, as I don’t want my pretty lavender to die.

All lavenders like hot, sunny weather – not your typical indoor conditions. Use regular potting soil and add 20% sand by volume. (1 C coarse sand for each 4 Cups potting mix) or use half cactus potting soil and half regular potting soil. The soil should be bone dry an inch down before watering. Do not soak the plant, you want to make the soil damp only, maybe one cup of water. Lavender roots rot in soil that stays moist and the effect on the plant is the same as if you never water. It wilts. If your window doesn’t supply 8 hours of direct sunlight, not just brightness, then you need supplemental lighting with a desk lamp or similar. Remember that lavender is a semi-desert plant. Sunny, hot and dry conditions are what it wants. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/herbs/lavender/growing-lavender-in-pots.htm [1]
