Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy husband just gave me a beautiful double gloxinia for my birthday and I want to keep it healthy as long as possible, but don’t know how to water it without getting the leaves wet. Can I put it in water and let the pot suck the water up?

You can either get a small watering can with a long thin spout, and lift up the leaves with one hand while you carefully pour the water onto the soil; or you can set the plant pot into about 1/2″ of water in a dish — make sure the soil is moistened all the way to the top of the pot.
