Dogwood Tree Pulled Out Of Ground By Puppy- Will It Live?

We just planted a young dogwood tree, about 3 foot high, purchased from a grocery store. It looked very healthy, however our puppy pulled it out shortly after it was planted. we replanted it as soon as we saw it. My husband is convinced because the roots were exposed to air the tree will die, is this the case?

It depends on whether the roots were exposed long enough to dry out. Then it may succumb. But keep it watered and cared for and it may do fine.
